With more than 30 years in the print industry, Larry Harnden brings a rare combination of traditional offset craftsmanship and modern digital print expertise to Copiers Northwest. He began his career as a U.S. Navy Lithographer aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) and later continued in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard Reserves, retiring as a Maritime Law Enforcement Petty Officer with 21 years of combined service. His time in uniform developed a foundation of discipline, accountability, and operational readiness that shapes his leadership and problem-solving today.
Larry studied Graphic Imaging & Printing at Seattle Central Community College, earning Emerald City Craftsmanship Awards and an International Gallery of Superb Printing Award before returning as a part-time instructor in offset press, bindery, and prepress workflows. Before joining Copiers Northwest in 2013, he led digital production at a Seattle print firm, and today he serves as a Field Supervisor certified to support the full Canon print lineup that Copiers Northwest offers, to include all wide-format and display graphic systems like the imagePROGRAF, Arizona, and Colorado devices.
A Seattle native and lifelong learner, Larry enjoys boating, hiking, 3D printing, and coding. During the COVID shutdown, he taught himself HTML, JavaScript, and PHP, creating an internal intranet site to support company communication and technical resources at Copiers Northwest.
