Motivate and Inspire your Team with these Easy Tips…

Whether your employees are all back in the office, still working from home, or a hybrid of both, motivating them post-pandemic is still a concern. Here’s a few tips that may help:

· Support employee autonomy—Don’t micromanage. Give them a project and a deadline, then get out of the way. In one survey, 59% of respondents said flexibility is more important than salary and other benefits.

· Develop employee career paths—Nobody wants to feel that they are in a dead-end job. Create a personal development plan for each employee and provide a clear sense of their future.

· Recognize employees—Appreciation for hard work and accomplishing tasks goes a long way. It can be done privately,  but praising individuals publicly is much better.

· Ensure your business is a great place to work—Employees want to work in a clean, comfortable environment where equipment works and is consistently updated. Nobody wants to work in an office with old equipment that constantly breaks down and negatively impacts their productivity.

· Conduct employee surveys—This can be formal or informal. The point is ask employees what makes them happy  instead of guessing.

· Have fun—Not every day is going to be full of exciting projects and challenges, so be creative. Let them bring dogs to work or perhaps have a day they can bring children for a few hours or the entire day. Be sure to celebrate significant company or personal accomplishments, employee anniversaries and/or birthdays. What’s the old phrase, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”
